DCHOA Beautification Committee
Mission Statement

The DCHOA Beautification Committee’s prime focus is to strive to make a noticeable difference. Special Attention is given to the
remediation of eyesores within the development. Landscape projects, including tree, shrub, flower and grass plantings and the
maintenance required are examples of the more visible signs of the DCHOA Beautification Committee involvement

The DCHOA Beautification Committee also contributes by responding to requests for review, comment, recommendation and the
involvement relating to the ongoing maintenance and project developments of the DCHOA Park as submitted by Deer Creek
Homeowners Association.

Litter Abatement of the DCHOA Common Area

Members of the DCHOA Beautification Committee will conduct a litter pick-up at least once a month, weather permitting of areas
that are most in need of litter removal. The areas surrounding the playground equipment and the entryway sign are targeted for this
special effort.

Landscaping Maintenance of the DCHOA Common Areas

The DCHOA Beautification Committee will oversee the design specifications and maintenance of any landscaping at the entryway
sign and the DCHOA Park. The plantings and ongoing maintenance of flowers, shrubs and trees may be conducted by volunteers of
the
DCHOA Beautification Committee or by the DCHOA’s designated professional landscaping company.

Beautification Award Contest – Annually, 2nd Monday in July

This contest encourages residents of Deer Creek Estates to “tell on their neighbor” by nominating the yards they find the most
appealing or the most improved. Nomination forms will be presented at the DCHOA meetings and nominations can also be made by
phone to one of the DCHOA officers. The DCHOA Beautification Committee will review each of these properties on the 4th
Monday in June, at which time they rank each yard. The DCHOA Beautification Committee will present the recipients at the July
DCHOA meeting with a certificate and a letter thanking them for their contribution to the development’s beautification. After
receiving permission from the property owner, the Committee will place the Eagle Award sign in their yard. These signs may be used
for any location that adds to the beauty of Deer Creek Estates.

Holiday Landscaping Contest (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter)

The Beautification Committee will also hold the annual Holiday Landscaping Contest. Nominations can be taken from neighbors via
