Sauk Village, IL 60411

Minutes of the Association Meeting
Held at Sauk Village’s Village Hall
February 7, 2007
Minutes recorded by Lazette Saunders
Officers in Attendance:
Lazette Saunders – President
Dorothy Thomas – Vice President
Mary Brown – Treasurer
Welcome and Introductions:
Lazette called the meeting to order at 7:15pm.

Financials:
Mary gave the total amount we currently have in the bank and offered to take any dues from anyone present.

Beautification Committee:
Ms. Dorothy mentioned we are currently looking for bids on mulch, crushed stone and railroad ties to maintain the
beauty of the park.  Derrick offered to get prices for mulch and lime stone from the village.  And he also asked if
we know of any one that would remove and install the old R.R. ties once the new ones arrived.  PTL did the work
initially, so we may want to consider asking them again.  But Lazette mentioned we would ask those questions of
the other companies while we are looking for the bids.

No current update on the quitclaim deed that was issued to the HOA for a small portion of land behind the houses
that is in front of the park.

Welcome Committee:
No new residents since the last family moved in last year.

Activities Committee:
Lazette mentioned next scheduled activity is skating; no date has been selected however a flyer will be sent out to
determine the number of families that are interested.  Debra Davis suggested not choosing a weekend date because
of the extra children that will be present at the skating rink.  The other residents also recommended roller skating
instead of ice skating.

Mary informed the group that all of the officers have new email addresses and several business references have
been added to our referral page:   DND Construction, Chuck’s Home Repair, Derrick also wants to add JMJ Body
Repair and Cato Construction

Men’s Club:
No Report

Old Business:
The Newsletter is back, everyone should have received theirs yesterday in the mail. There will be a notice /
amendment to the news letter for the oversight of the Sandoval family for the Light up Night Article.

New Business:
Lazette referred to article in Newsletter “Curb your Dog” and also mentioned the concerns of some of the
neighbors in 1st phase about a dog running loose.  And the police have come out several times to address the
issue.  No update was available because the person who made the complaint was not at the meeting.

Lazette mentioned DCHOA is looking for volunteers for several different activities and committees.
Derrick mentioned more voter registrars are available so we can get more people registered to vote.  Also suggested
that Deer Creek Estates should be more involved in District 206 because 37% of out tax dollars go to the distrist
and the schools.

Derrick asked if we would be hosting an Election Forum for all of the trustees that will be running for office this
year.  They are Derrick Burgess, Dave Hanks, Ed Myers and Francine Anderson.  A letter will be drafted and sent
out to each candidate asking them to join us during our DCHOA meeting schedule for 4/4/07.

Adjourn:
Lazette asked for a motion to adjourn meeting, D. Burgess moved and it was 2nd by D. Davis, meeting was
adjourned at 7:45pm.
